1. KABC representation on the KHSAA Basketball Committee – Enables the KABC to have a direct voice in the legislation of our sport through ongoing dialogue with the KHSAA.  
2. Extensive awards’ program:  Our awards program is the BEST in the country for high school basketball.  Some of our awards include:

1. KABC Website  – We are committed to the improvement of our website, making it more “coach-friendly” and “fan-friendly.”  Major updates for 2011-12.
2. Coaches’ Assist Fund  - Dedicated to helping coaches and their families in times of need.
3. KABC Annual Coaching Clinic and golf outing in Lexington – Outstanding lineup of speakers including state champions and national champions.
4. Special room rates at the Sweet 16 and KABC Clinic   
5. National High School Basketball Coaches’ Association (NHSBCA) – Join the KABC and you automatically become a member of the NHSBCA,  also receiving its benefits
6. All-star games –Your players are eligible to participate in the East/West KABC All-Star game on Saturday afternoon (between sessions) of the Boys and Girls Sweet 16. 

Players of the Year in all 16 regions receive an automatic invitation to try-out for the Kentucky/Indiana All Star game.

Coaches of the Year in all 16 regions are automatically placed on the selection committee for the Kentucky/Indiana All Star team tryouts.

2. Opportunity to vote and serve on the KABC board, as well as hold office

Opportunities in Planning Stages

• Development of a junior all-star team which would participate in a junior national tourney
• Development of a spring showcase event…to allow college coaches to evaluate high school players in a high school setting.
• A summer basketball academy to help train coaches – at all levels.
